AB86 Cyberbullying: grants schools the authority to suspend or expel students for bullying by means of an electronic device (social network, mobile phone). The law applies only to bullying that occurs on campus, during school hours or during a school related activity.

B259 Salvia divinorum: sale of salvia divinorum (a hullucinogen likened to LSD) is banned for sale to minors (misdemeanor). Salvia is not a drug on the FDA schedule of regulated drugs, and can easily be ordered via the Internet—no matter what your age. Salvia is also known as “SallyD”, “Magic Mint” and “Divine Sage”. Salvia is a plant from Mexico and is easy to obtain, and has been linked to some teen suicides.

SB28 No texting while driving: This bill complements SB1613 which requires hands free mobile phones. $20 for the first offense, and $50 for the subsequent offenses.
